The Six Oaks Cemetery is an old Sea Pines resting place that was created during the original development of Sea Pines Plantation in the mid-1960s. The landscape architect was Robert Marvin, noted for his work at the Augusta National Golf Club, Callaway Gardens, and other landmarks of the South of the United States. Sea Pines Racquet Club is a favorite of permanent residents and tourists staying on South Beach alike. Stoney Baynard Ruins, located on Plantation Drive on the right-side of the road just beyond Baynard Park Road, is the only tabby ruins of a main plantation house on Hilton Head Island, and is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally constructed by Captain Jack Stoney in the 1790s, the Baynard house was, once upon a time, an antebellum plantation home with majestic views of the Calibogue Sound. The Baynards were Sea Island Cotton plantation owners and four children grew up at the mansion with Baynard and his wife, Catherine. Upon the invasion of Hilton Head Island by Union Troops in 1861, the Baynards fled the property. The home was summarily captured without incident and became Union headquarters on the island during the Civil War and was, unfortunately, burned thereafter.

The Tower Beach Club is for residents-only and is the place that homeowners that may not live to the ocean to experience a quieter and more gentle outing to the Atlantic Ocean, but as much on the Calibogue Sound, where the whitecaps are minimal.
